Label Production Technician

Elmark Packaging, part of the Ameriscend family of companies, produces high-quality pressure-sensitive labels for customers across a wide range of industries. We’re seeking a skilled Label Production Technician to join our West Chester team.
This is a hands-on role spanning press operation, quality inspection, and packaging and shipping — well suited to someone who takes pride in precision and in delivering orders that meet every customer specification.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a Flexographic Webtron 650 printing press, meeting performance and quality standards
- Monitor press operations and make adjustments as needed
- Load and unload paper, ink, and other materials
- Perform routine press maintenance and cleaning
- Inspect pressure-sensitive labels on the Arpeco Tracker and visually verify print quality, removing defects and completing orders to customer specifications
- Implement and improve quality control procedures
- Move and retrieve materials from the warehouse using a pallet jack or forklift
- Package and ship orders to customer specifications
- Work closely with management and coworkers to meet customer delivery expectations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of proven experience in the flexographic label industry
- Experience with quality control techniques
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications
- Basic mathematical and computer skills
- Forklift certification
- Strong attention to detail
- A team player, flexible and willing to change priorities frequently to meet customer expectations
- Openness to regular training and instruction from senior press operators
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50–60 pounds without assistance on an as-needed basis
- Vision acuity corrected to 20/40
- Must pass the Ishihara Color Assessment and receive a minimum average/normal color vision score on the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue and D-15 tests
